The fundamental freedoms America’s founders guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution are essential engines of economic growth, entrepreneurship, and personal prosperity. Government regulators and special-interest activists, however, have little respect for basic rights such as real (and intellectual) property ownership, the freedom to disseminate and receive commercial speech, and fair notice of legal rules. WLF remains at the vanguard of a movement to restore “business civil liberties,” advocating in courts, regulatory agencies, and through public education to safeguard commercial-speech and private-property rights. We are also a leader in opposing the criminalization of free enterprise and defending the due-process rights of all market actors.
