Speakers' Biographies

Neil Chilson

Neil is the Head of AI Policy at the Abundance Institute. He is a lawyer, computer scientist, and author of the book “Getting Out of Control: Emergent Leadership in a Complex World.” Prior to joining Abundance Institute, Neil was a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University and a senior research fellow for Technology and Innovation at Stand Together. He has also served as the Chief Technologist at the Federal Trade Commission and as an attorney advisor to Acting FTC Chairman Maureen K. Ohlhausen.

Andy Jung

Andy serves as Associate Counsel at TechFreedom. Previously, Andy started as intern at TechFreedom while attending Antonin Scalia Law School where he graduated in 2021. Prior to law school, Andy worked for SaaS startup companies in Palo Alto and Los Angeles, where he became interested in legal issues like privacy and online speech.

Kristian Stout

Kristian is director of innovation policy at the International Center for Law & Economics (ICLE). He has also been a fellow at the Internet Law & Policy Foundry, as well as the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Before practicing law, Kristian worked as a technology entrepreneur and a lecturer in the Computer Science Department at Rutgers University. Kristian served on the board of the New Jersey Leadership Program, and was the chair of the Asset Forfeiture Working Group for the NJ State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
